Computer Access: Applications
Class Description
Presents the use of computer access technologies for students with physical
and/or learning disabilities within the context of word processing, database,
and spreadsheet programs using Microsoft Office.
This course should be taken after the successful completion of ACSK 125 (formerly
LRNSK 235) to ensure success in the course.
Students will learn advanced word processing concepts, spreadsheet
concepts and database concepts. Working with a hands on approach students
will have the opportunity to create projects using the Microsoft Office
Suite of programs.
An integrated approach to applications will be used to allow the student
to interact with multiple programs while creating a finished project through
the use of the multiple programs.
Students will have the opportunity to explore the use of Microsoft Office
to enhance their other classes. The students will learn techniques to enhance
their productivity and to improve their employability.
